Publicly Traded PEO Revenue Trending

This brief article reviews the revenue trending for the five publicly traded PEOs (ADP TotalSource, Insperity, TriNet, Paychex, and BBSI). The below chart illustrates the revenue trending, first sorted by revenue size, and second sorted by the revenue rebound from COVID drops.

Our initial aim was to include operating income along with revenue numbers but in the cases of PAYX and ADP, operating income isn’t separated out by business segment in the 10-Qs or 10-Ks. Information from this chart was pulled via each company’s 10-Q and/or 10-K filings. Please note that PAYX and ADP are on fiscal years and therefore their date range of data differs slightly from the other three players.
